The best Station Master ever! Phil really offers that 'ole style personal service - friendly and helpful. Moreover, he keeps this lovely 'ole-style station immaculate despite frequent vandalism by @#$% ratbags!!!It was a pleasure going to work each morning and seeing his cheery face. The type of character one might read about in a Tim Winton novel! How many other commuters are on first name basis with their station master? Adds to a real sense of community. Thanks Phil. Station Master Phil keeps the station clean and tidy, gardens beautiful and splashes paint about where necessary. Local school artwork on display at side of lift tower, when there was graffiti it was remived immediately. Lovely country feel and only one like it on Brisbane line. Congrats QRail for great station and to Phil for showing pride in your work.
Ticket office is only open in the morning. Platforms can be confusing as sometimes the northbound train stops at platform 1, other times is stops at 2. Seen many tourists miss their trains due to this.
